Depictions of Courage - Kathrine Switzer

This video is truly inspiring: I wanted to share it with everyone. Kathrine Switzer had to face much more than the challenge of finishing the Boston Marathon.

Only five decades ago, women weren't allowed to enter the marathon. Let's not take for granted the courage of the brave ones who paved the way.

Let's check out fellow blogger PJ Fiala's post on courage.

P J Fiala and her husband travel around by motorcycle seeing new places and meeting new people. It never ceases to amaze her how many people are interested in where they are going and what they have seen along the way. At almost every stop they make, the locals ask them where they’re headed and offer advice on which roads in the area are best for travel and seeing the sites. They are also more than willing to share what others before them have told them about great rides and the best scenic routes to take.

She comes from a family of veterans. Her grandfather, father, brother, two of her sons, and one daughter-in-law are all veterans. Needless to say, she is proud to be an American and proud of the service her amazing family has given.

Here are her wonderful books:
